Iyobinte Pusthakam Malayalam DVD
Starring : Fahadh Faasil, Jayasurya, Lal
Set in the backdrop of the picturesque Munnar, it tells the story of Iyob, a slave-turned-master. Iyob has 3 sons: Dimitri (Chemban Vinod Jose), Ivan (Jinu Joseph) and Aloshi (Fahadh Faasil). Iyob rules his tea estate with his 2 ruthless sons Ivan & Dimitri, Aloshi runs away from them after witnessing his brothers murdering their adopted sister. He joins the Indian navy under the British command and gets expelled during the Navy mutiny in Bombay. Meanwhile Iyob has problems from Angoor Rawther (Jayasurya), a timber merchant from Madurai. He persists in cutting timber from Iyob's land which earns him the wrath of Iyob. But he cleverly woos the brothers and slowly turns them against Iyob. Aloshy returns to Munnar and unites with his hunter friend and also his childhood love Martha. The story then takes shape from Aloshy's point of view, he rebels against his brothers and father. He is then ambushed and beaten by his brothers and thrown of a cliff, he is spotted by his friend and recovers in their hut. Aloshy turns as an local outlaw selling Gunja and kills his brothers henchman. Iyob finally understands Ivan & Dimitri's plans and he escapes the estate with the will of Mr. Harrison which gives all the assets to Martha. He meets up with Aloshy and stays with them, Angoor Rawther bribes the local police to arrest Aloshy and execute him. Aloshy is saved by his communist friends and returns to his place only to find his friends wife is killed by Ivan. Iyob and Martha make it to the jungle before Iyob is wounded by Angoor. Martha is stuck in quicksand but helped by Aloshy at the last moment. Angoor kills Iyob and shoots Aloshy in the leg, but Aloshy mortally wounds Angoor with his rifle. Ivan is then killed by Aloshy's friend as a revenge for his wife murder. Angoor than runs for his life and finds asylum in a small channel, Aloshy hunts him and shoots him dead. Before moving to Kochi, Alsohy and Martha leave the estate to their communist comrades. Finally the narration ends with the arrest of an elderly comrade during the emergency period.The movie ends with Aloshy and Martha standing on a fog studded hill hugging each other.
