Elsamma Enna Aankutty Malayalam DVD
Lal Jose’s ‘Elsamma Enna Aankutty’ is set in Balan Pillai City, a small high range village somewhere near Idukki, where Elsamma (Ann Augustine), the newspaper girl and Palunni (Kunchacko Boban), the milk delivery boy set things running every morning. Their admiration for each other is never expressed by either, at least until Aby (Indrajith) arrives from the city and casts his eyes on the pretty girl. Elsamma is yet another girl who has been cast in the survivor role, and she walks quietly behind her several predecessors. You are reminded of Meera Jasmine in ‘Kasthuriman’ or Manju Warrier in ‘Kanmadam’ or several other similar women characters who are engaged in a tooth and nail fight with life.
Elsamma (Ann Augustine) is an all rounder in the real sense of the term. A well knit tale, the story is set on the backdrop of a village and here lives Elsamma (ann augustine) along with her three sisters. She is the adopted daughter of Kunnel Pappan (nedumudi) and is no less than a boy as she delivers newspapers and works as a reporter as well. Elsamma is very strict with her sisters and as usual, she finds enemies in the form of the ward member Remanan (jagathy), hooch man Karipalli Soman and others. As for her support, there is the milkman Palunni (kunchakko) who is uneducated but strongly in love with Elsamma, he never reveals his feelings to her though. Story takes a turn with the arrival of Eby (indrajith) with his three mischievous friends. What happens from there forms the rest of the story. However, the script by Sindhuraj never let things go out of Elsamma’s hands. The sentimental or the emotional threshold is never visited, thus making Elsamma a superhero as she always takes control of things before they go haywire.
