SHAANDAAR begins off with a toon liveliness (flashback) story described by Naseeruddin Shah, wherein he "presents" the groups of onlookers to Bipin Arora (Pankaj Kapoor) and his received girl (Alia Bhatt). The energized portrayal then proceeds onward to a genuine living 'inadvertent meeting' between the wedding coordinator Jagjinder Joginder (Shahid Kapoor) and Bipin Arora, when Jaginder's bicycle collides with Bipin's auto. Bipin is going with his wife and two little girls Alia and Isha (Sanah Kapoor) and this is the point at which Jaginder's eyes spot Alia and he succumbs to her at that exact instant. The story then moves to Isha's destination wedding named "Shandaar" in the intriguing wide open of UK. Furthermore, the man responsible for the whole procedures is none other than Jagjinder Joginder. The entire wedding is only a 'money related plan' (read 'arrangement') between Bipin Arora's mom otherwise known as Dadimaa (Sushma Seth) and the 'richy rich' Sindhi family helmed by Harry Fundwani (Sanjay Kapoor), who wears his 'Sindhi-ism' up his sleeve furthermore around his neck! The bankrupt Aroras surmise that the marriage with the Fundwani family will get them out of chapter 11. Understanding the "significance" of her wedding with the Fundwanis, Isha begins to trade off at each progression for the purpose of her family, in spite of being perpetually scorned by her eventual spouse Robin Fundwani and his companions. Then again, love begins blooming between the two restless people Jagjinder and Alia, something that Bipin doesn't appear to support of. While everyone is truly occupied with the wedding arrangements, Jagjinder and Alia investigate every possibility in making Isha feel uncommon. Amid one of the wedding occasions, the entire family, urgent for veg nourishment, winds up eating hash brownies and mushrooms and get high. It is amid this time Bipin rattles down a startling disclosure about his genuine association with Alia. What is the genuine relationship in the middle of Bipin and Alia, does anybody try to listen to Isha and her emotions, does Isha at last get hitched into the Fundwani family for her family's purpose, what at last happens to Jagjinder and Alia's sleep deprivation and do they discover a cure for the same through adoration, is the thing that structures whatever is left of the film.
