Actor RK always chooses some exceptional scripts to prove his adeptness and indeed has stridden through the successful path with the hit of his previous two movies. His debut film ‘Ellam Avan Seyal’ that featured him in the role of a lawyer taking justice into his own hands (remake of Malayalam movie) grabbed everyone’s attention following which his next film ‘Azhagar Malai’ was a good hit in suburb areas. In this film, he has chosen a different role, which is more off an anti-hero character.
Director P. Vasu is illustrious for making so many hit movies that includes ‘Mannan’, ‘Ulaipaazhi’, ‘Kuselan’ and magnum opus ‘Chandramukhi’. His career graph in Kannada has been stupendous and now he is making his comeback in Kollywood after a long sabbatical gap with the film ‘Puli Vesham’. The film is produced by actor RK himself under the banner of RK Worlds. Karthik gets a meaty role in the role of assistant commissioner of police while Sadha makes her comeback in Kollywood after a long time. The film marks the debut of Divya Padmini, Kerala based actress while Mansoor Ali Khan plays negative role. Srikanth Deva has scored music for the film and cinematography is handled by Karunamoorthy. Don Max has taken care of editing while Na. Muthukumar, Kalai Kumar and Annamalai have written lyrics for the songs.
The film features RK in an anti-hero role, where he does anything for money and goes to the extent of bumping off many in the town. Karthik, who happens to be a sincere police officer, assigns him to bump off a group of baddies, who were responsible for the death of his close friend. Meanwhile, Sadha comes in seeking the help of RK and his friends, but has a mysterious past and her intention of approaching RK is revealed during second half. Mansoor Ali Khan is involved in the fraudulent business of kidnapping young girls and trades them as sex-workers. An ultimate twist in the tale occurs as these characters come across each other.
