Pinky has grown up with her father because her mother passed away during her early childhood days. Unfortunately Pinky’s dad shows no affection towards her and this deeply hurts Pinky to the core.So to gain fatherly love and the much needed attention she decides to get herself kidnapped by some goons.But during the kidnapping event she falls in love with a guy called Raj.Whether her father shows some concerns towards her daughter during these crucial times form the crux of this Punjabi romantic drama.
Every one knows mettle of Neeru Bajwa, what a talent she is and "Pinky Moge Wali" is completely her film, Starting from title, situations, role etc. Gavie Chahal who is riding high on success of "EK Tha Tiger" plays lead in movie. He has already done miniature roles in Jimmy Shergill starrer "Yaraan Naal Baharaan' and Mehndi Wale hath" But couldn't make an unsual impact as now competition is high, He did mediocre job. Geeta Zaildar makes remakable role, he did his modest role very well with his nuisance acts and on occasions humming his own songs looked good on screen. KS Makhan did what he does in his songs. His character suited the role and that could be the only reason he bagged the role otherwise nothing great. Daddy, Dad and Dadu yes these could be said as highlight of movie played by eminent artists of punjabi cinema, BN Sharma, Harpal and Rana Jung Bahadur full of emotions, comedy and their presence on screen was largely applauded.
"Pinky Moge Wali" is directed by debutant "Vikram Dhillon" although he debuts as a director with this movie but has ton of directorial experience directing few TV Serials and documentaries and in "Pinky Moge Wali" does reasonably well job. On technical front "Pinky Moge wali" doesn't lack its well edited and created project and has to be considering production house attached. Cinematography is done well esp outdoors and songs were extremely well shot with beautiful locations accompanied by soulfull music.
Although with such a great performaces and work "Pinky Moge Wali" lacked execrably on screenplay, script and story. It is situational Story and has to be accomanied by great script and screenplay which doesn't impress. May be half an hour short could have different impact as in second half movie seems dragged and till the climax it couldn't hold audience attention. Another deteriorative was despite good music, songs didn't fit well with the sequence and merely were fillers.
All in all "Pinky Moge Wali" is one time affair for punjabi cinema lovers, doesn't offer much & nothing great which could stand up to its hype & Speculation. Watch it for Neeru Bajwa, Geeta's acts, "Dad -Daddy & dadu" and ofcourse music.
