Balak Palak (BP) is a 2013 Marathi language comedy-drama film. The film is directed by Ravi Jadhav and produced by Riteish Deshmukh, Uttung Thankur and Ravi Jadhav. Mr. Jadhav is known for his previously directed critically and commercially acclaimed films like Natarang (2010) and Balgandharva (2011). Known for his comedy roles in numerous Bollywood films, this is the first film produced by actor Riteish Deshmukh. The chief assistant director of this superhit film is Shivkumar Parthasarathy. Shivkumar has also done the English subtitles for this film and All prints of BP across India are with Subtitles (Presently working as an Associate Director for the film 'Rege').
Balak Palak was shot by Ace Cinematographer Mr.Mahesh Limaye. Mr.Limaye was the DOP for films viz. Dabangg, Heroine, Fashion, Natrang, Balgandharva to name a few. The film deals with the topic of sex education of adolescents children and is rated UA (Parental Guidance). With the positive reviews the film received, Deshmukh plans to make a Hindi language remake of the film.
