Dhanak is a 2016 Indian Hindi road movie written and directed by Nagesh Kukunoor. Produced by Kukunoor, Manish Mundra, and Elahe Hiptoola, the film premiered at the 65th Berlin International Film Festival where it competed in the Generation KPlus section and won the Crystal Bear Grand Prix for Best Children's Film.The two child artists have played the roles of sister and brother with supporting performances from Vipin Sharma,Gulfam Khan, Vijay Maurya and Vibha Chibber. The movie showcases story of Pari (Hetal Gadda) who has promised Chotu (Krrish Chhabria) – her young blind brother to help him get his eyesight before he ages 10. On spotting her favorite star Shah Rukh Khan on an eye-donation drive poster, Pari starts expecting that the hero will help her in accomplishing her mission.This movie captures the journey of the brother and sister kids beautifully. It showcases how the duo set themselves on a journey which is miles across on an unknown terrain in order to meet Shah Rukh Khan. The kids embark on a journey to a faraway place in Rajasthan, when they come to know that this Bollywood superstar is shooting at present.
