Mathimaran (Sivakarthikeyan) is a police constable who just reports to work and goes home day by day without contributing anything helpful to the general public as his manager, Controller Sathyamurthy (Prabhu) wouldn't like to get on the wrong side of the upper levels of the police, who are degenerate and politically affected, and is additionally unwilling to shake the present framework because of past experience. Mathimaran and his kindred policemen never get any cases subsequently, much to his bothering.
Mathimaran goes gaga for Divya (Sri Divya), who fills in as a medical attendant in a healing facility, yet conceals his occupation from her as her family abhors cops.
